Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh

We would like to share an update regarding the recent unfortunate incident that took place at Sacramento Sikh Society Gurdwara Sahib, located at 7676 Bradshaw Rd.

On January 29th, 2024, a fire broke out at our Gurdwara on the south side of the Bradshaw Gurmat School building, resulting in a series of propane tank explosions. The cause of the fire is still under active investigation. The safety and well-being of everyone in our community is our utmost concern, and it brings us great comfort to know that all those on the premises remained unharmed.

Despite this incident, the Gurdwara Sahib remains open for all. Please be aware that, the south side entrance of the Gurdwara will be closed until further notice. We ask that you to use the north side entrance, which remains open as the sole point of access during this period.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the Metro Fire of Sacramento and Sacramento Sheriff's office for their prompt and effective response to this emergency. Their swift action and professionalism have been instrumental in managing the situation and preventing any further harm to our Gurdwara Sahib’s property.

We strongly advise all visitors to keep a distance from the affected building due to the ongoing investigation and its compromised structure. We recognize that the Gurdwara serves as a haven of solace and sanctuary, providing joy, comfort, safety, and a sense of home to everyone who visits. As soon as we receive clearance, we will promptly begin clean-up efforts and take actions to restore the premises. Additionally, we will keep you informed and share updates as soon as more information is available.

Your support and prayers during this time are immensely appreciated. By coming together in solidarity and prayer, we strengthen the safety and harmony of our congregation. United, we can surmount this challenge and maintain a spirit of togetherness and dedication in our sacred space.
